Milica Svrkota
Milica Svrkota was born on March 8, 1990, in Pljevlja, where she completed her primary education and high school at "Tanasije Pejatović" Gymnasium. She earned her undergraduate degree in law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro, as well as her specialized studies in the field of civil law. She began her professional engagement as an intern at a notary office, where, after completing her internship, she worked on tasks involving the preparation of notarial records, minutes, certification of signatures and transcripts, working with clients, and other tasks entrusted to her by the notary.
She passed the bar exam in 2019. She is currently a thesis student in the Master's program in civil law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro.
In September 2021, she transferred to the Ministry of Economic Development where she served as an independent advisor in the Department for the Prevention of Corruption and as the head of the Office for Legal and General Affairs. During this period, she worked on the preparation of administrative acts in first-instance and second-instance administrative proceedings within the jurisdiction of the ministry, conducted administrative procedures, and made decisions on requests for free access to information, as well as decisions regarding the rights and obligations of employees based on their work. In February 2022, she was appointed by the Government of Montenegro to the Council of the Agency for the Peaceful Resolution of Labor Disputes, where she currently holds the position of president. She passed the notary exam in June 2024. She has participated in numerous seminars, training sessions, and conferences in the fields of labor, administrative, and civil law. She speaks English and is proficient in Russian.
